Sharon has been providing psychotherapy services independently since 1996 for adults, and also for couples coping with health and illness issues.

She has experience in anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief, relationships, vocational/learning problems, adult ADHD, and health goals; also she has extensive experience in the impact of illness including stroke, memory, concussion, and other chronic neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Sharon’s approach is collaborative, compassionate and interactive. She uses cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, solution-focused and interpersonal methods to help her clients reach their goals.

As a Life Coach she offers assistance with reaching and maintaining life goals, whether personal or work related.

Sharon obtained an Honours B.A. in Psychology from the U. of Waterloo and a PhD in Counselling Psychology from the U. of Texas A&M with a Clinical Psychology Internship at the U. of Florida in Gainesville. Earlier, Sharon practiced as a Registered Nurse. Other history includes counselling in an inpatient stroke rehabilitation unit, assessment in memory clinics, and smoking cessation groups, in addition to general psychotherapy in private and group practice settings.
