John is a registered clinical social worker psychotherapist with over 10 years experience. He works with individual adults specializing in mental health, trauma, grief, addictions, and anger management. His prior experience includes working directly along side police on a first response crisis team, as well as mental health crisis, addictions, and court diversion teams.
His approach is to build a culture of self-compassion and acceptance as a foundation that can open pathways to non-judgmental self-exploration and insight. His prior experience and training draw from a wide array of tools including EMDR, Internal Family Systems Therapy, CBT, Solution Focused, and several other therapeutic modalities. He works to create a safe and authentic environment where clients can bring all aspects of their lives into focus.
John earned his Bachelor of Social Work with the University of Windsor and his Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers; he is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as EMDR Canada.
