Hello and Welcome!

It is my personal belief that it is a birthright to live a joyful and purposeful life. I strive to empower clients to create and be the change they are desiring, by encouraging personal growth and self-leadership.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in honesty and integrity. I value a holistic approach to therapy that incorporates mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual elements.

Through the development of a psychotherapeutic relationship, together we will be able to create a compassionate and non-judgemental environment that allows for safe and supportive internal exploration.

To ensure collaboration and client centeredness, my practice is structured to include a variety of therapeutic approaches. Some of the therapies and modalities used include, and are not limited to: Trauma Informed Therapy, Attachment Informed Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.

My professional and personal experience has led me to develop a special interest in understanding all things trauma related. In Greek, trauma means “wound”. When we are wounded, we are in pain, and when we are in pain, we disconnect. Our brains are naturally wired for connection, but when we experience trauma, our brains rewire. By learning new strategies for coping, reconnection with self, body, thoughts, emotions, communities, culture, etc., and recovery, is possible!

I am very excited to be offering NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback, which is a non-invasive advanced neurotechnology designed to train the brain to function at peak performance, and to be more resilient and flexible! As the brain and Central Nervous System together develop flexibility and resilience, this is reported to feel like stability to many clients.

Brain training benefits can include the promotion of healthy sleep habits, enhanced learning capacity, more energy, improved concentration, decreased impulsivity, greater sense of calm, the ability to cope with things better and manage stress better, feeling more comfortable and confident, having more good days than bad, etc.

I have more than 16 years of experience working in a variety of professional settings within the mental health sector. I have had the pleasure of serving diverse populations including adults and youth, mandated clients, individuals living with brain injuries, dual diagnosis, concurrent disorders, and individuals affected by family/domestic violence and homelessness. I have many years of experience with group facilitation, and I hope to offer group opportunities in the future.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

I look forward to being part of the change you create, as we explore all possibilities!
