Emma is a registered social worker who believes that clients are the experts on their own lives with her role being to walk with them in their therapy journey. She offers a non-judgemental, supportive, and affirming space to work together towards goals or navigate difficult life transitions or events. Emma provides counselling and therapy to individuals over the age of 12 looking for support with mental health concerns like anxiety and depression, relationship stress, as well as folks exploring gender identity or sexuality, or working on overall wellness goals. She has experience in the areas of brain injury and disability, domestic violence, and parental support. As a queer identified therapist herself, Emma is uniquely positioned to support other members of the LGBTQ2+ community.

Emma uses an eclectic approach to suit each client’s needs, utilizing techniques from various theoretical approaches including Strengths Based and Feminist approaches, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has the training required to provide second referral letters to trans* folks seeking bottom surgeries.
