Jennifer Arthur is a Registered Social Worker, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Jennifer has completed a Bachelor of Social Work (Honors) in 2012 from King’s University College, at the University of Western Ontario. In addition, she has achieved her Master of Social Work Degree (clinical concentration in Individuals, Families and Groups) in 2013 from Wilfrid Laurier University’s School of Social Work. Jennifer has over 10 years experience working in the field of mental health in clinical health care settings and providing individual therapy.

Jennifer has completed extensive post-graduate training including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a specialization in Adult Mental Health Disorders, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma Counselling: Level I, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Jennifer understands that life experiences can present challenges that significantly impacts one’s perception of self, connection to others and ability to cope. Jennifer utilizes an approach that is compassionate, strength-based, person-centred, trauma-informed and grounded in understanding of the impact of trauma and attachment. Jennifer aims to empower and hold space for resiliency, while providing therapy services that incorporates a variety of modalities to best support an individual’s needs and therapeutic goals.

Jennifer understands that it is a privilege and honour to support those in therapy who move through the journey of life, and work to understand it through reflective processing. Jennifer has a passion for supporting individuals who identify concerns with anxiety, depression, difficulties coping, disordered eating, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, stabilization for PTSD and trauma related experiences, stress and woman’s issues.
