Animal Assisted Therapy (upon request)
Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a therapeutic application that incorporates a therapy dog into the treatment plan of traditional therapy. Animals in therapy are known to help improve the well-being of their human clients by reducing stress and feelings of anxiousness. Animals facilitate an atmosphere of trust, nurturance, and relationship-building through their naturally warm and playful interactions with humans.

Weaver and his team of future Guide Dogs are affectionate, non-judgemental co-therapists who enjoy working with Sherri to help their human clients learn more about themselves by developing strategies that improve relationships and personal well-being. Those who fear, dislike, or are allergic to animals, are not likely candidates for this treatment. Please contact Sherri prior to arranging an AAT session in order to determine whether this is a suitable treatment for you and/or your child(ren).
